Frontera, Anaheim, CA) and will feature amazing raffle prizes, great food and a long-standing holiday tradition you won’t want to miss.
Attendees are asked to bring an unwrapped toy or gift card (minimum of $20 value) to be donated to Anaheim Cops 4 Kids. Each donated gift will earn the donor a raffle ticket. Some of the raffle prize donors include: Anaheim White House, Savanna School District, Premier Commercial Bank, Brian Chuchua, Slater's 50/50, Ruby's Diner, City National Grove of Anaheim, Anaheim GardenWalk, UltraStar Cinemas, Fire & Ice Grill, Kelly Mortgage, Delta Wye Electric, Inc., Rainforest Café, Ruth's Chris Steak House, 7 Day Dental, and San Luis Sausage Company.
The Holiday Luncheon is also a great solution to your holiday office party. Legislative Update:
NLRB Union Election Proposal Advances
The National Labor Relations Board has made headlines once again by voting to proceed with a controversial rule that would change the election process. In a 2-1 vote, Chairman Mark Pearce and Board Member Craig Becker voted to advance the proposal while member Mark Hayes voted no. The NLRB vote advanced changes that would eliminate most pre-election challenges and move them to after the workers’ vote. Litigation surrounding union elections would be limited. Pre-election appeals would no longer be allowed, which would speed up the election process. The NLRB will now draft a final rule which will have to be voted on again.

Anaheim Family Justice Center Foundation Ramps Up for Holiday Season
The Anaheim Family Justice Center Foundation offers many opportunities to support local families in need this holiday season. One opportunity is through the purchase of a Christmas Tree for your home. Sonshine Trees is generously contributing $5 to the AFJC Foundation for each Christmas Tree purchased when using this flyer.
Sonshine Trees is a local, family-operated Christmas tree lot, based at
770 S. Harbor Boulevard, Fullerton, CA 92832 (next to Costco). This offer is valid on any tree purchased at Sonshine Trees
before December 21 - this flyer MUST be presented at time of purchase for $5 to be contributed to the AFJC Foundation.
The AFJC Foundation is partnering with the Anaheim Community Services Department for the 2011 Holiday Adopt-a-Family Project. This annual program helps dozens of Anaheim’s most needy and less fortunate families enjoy a holiday celebration through the generosity of our community.
Community Services pre-screens all families and most are identified through the Ponderosa Family Resource Center, which regularly refers clients - exposed to violence at home - to the AFJC and AFJC Foundation.
There are 10 families that have not yet been adopted. If you're interested in making this holiday season special for a family in need, please contact Terri Rivera at (714) 750-2826 or by email.
