Golf Day Scores Big Once Again

The Anaheim Hills Golf Course was jam packed as a full slate of golfers and duffers took to the links on a prefect day for the Chamber's premier networking event. More than 150 business professionals enjoyed a leisurely day and had a terrific opportunity to chat with colleagues at the 2007 Business Links Golf Tournament.

The success of the golf tournament reflected months of planning and preparation by the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and Golf Committee. Jeff Farano Esq., Chairman of the 2007 Links Golf Tournament, commented: "The Golf Committee participated with their ideas and assistance that was world class. We were able to draw from the committee knowledge and experience. We were not disappointed."

Anaheim City Manager David M. Morgan presented awards and declaration certificates to the three golf honorees- William J. Stone, Principal, Excel Realty Holdings (Anaheim Gardenwalk), Tim Ryan, President & CEO, Honda Center, and Julie K. Miller-Phipps, Senior Vice President, Kaiser Permanente Orange County.

Food on the course was provided by Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen, Rainforest Café, House of Blues, and Pepperoni's Pizza.

Wescom Credit Union's Yescini Ramirez said, "The Tournament was a success and an excellent networking opportunity. As a first time sponsor, we were pleased to be part of the event."

There was a 4-way tie for 1st place:

Countrywide Home Loans - Peter Sung, Vic Kumar, Gus Ziemann, and Steve Vartanian

Advantage Mailing and Globalspec, Inc. - Mark Mazur, Dave Coronado, Rich Collins and Steve Harasawa

L&N Linen - Dave Robbins, Ron Miller, Roger Wander, and Bob Carver

Kathy Barr with A.T.& T won the Superticket 3 day/2 night vacation to Puerto Vallarta, while Rodger Wander from the L&N Linen foursome nearly won the $100,000 Hole-In-One contest with an impressive shot that placed his golf ball just inches from the 18th hole.
