Government Affairs Committee Meeting
Please join us on Friday, September 20 as we welcome Assemblywoman Sharon Quirk-Silva.
First elected to California's 65th Assembly District in 2012, Sharon Quirk-Silva was most recently re-elected to represent the district 2016 and again in 2018. Now in her third term and serving as Chair of the Assembly Select Committee on Orange County Chronic Homelessness, she represents all or parts of the cities of Anaheim, Buena Park, Cypress, Fullerton, Garden Grove, La Palma and Stanton. Prior to her service in the Legislature she served in local government as a member of the Fullerton City Council from 2004 to 2012, including serving as Mayor.
Sharon Quirk-Silva is known in Sacramento as a hard worker, one who presses for more transparency and communication between state government, local government, and the people of Orange County. Keen to the ways of the legislative process, Quirk-Silva knows it takes people working together, with bipartisan effort, to find common ground when solving the state's challenges.
We look forward to welcoming Assemblywoman Quirk-Silva, and hearing an update from her as the legislative year comes to an end in Sacramento, as well as what may be coming in the 2020 session.
Please confirm your attendance or decline to firstname.lastname@example.org so we may make proper lunch arrangements. Thank you.
We look forward to seeing you on September 20th!
